And the Winner Is......for Once, The Mummy

Remember our Poop art issues?

(As if you could possibly ever forget. I know those pictures burned a permanent impression in many a blog readers mind.)

Well after he found several new opportunities to create various new masterpieces (fear not no photographic evidence included in this post!) I was at my wits end.

So I resorted to what I hadn't done for over a year.

I put him back in vests.

Who knew you could even buy them in his size?

The little monkey can no longer happily delve his hand into his nappy and let his creative juices flow. We fought this battle and for once I was victorious!

Yes, he looks really ridiculous. (But also kind of cute!)
Yes, he may very well collapse from heat exhaustion from wearing an extra layer under his clothes with it being summer and all.
But my walls are poop free and frankly it is worth the risk!

Yay for poop free walls!

hahaha! congratulations on the victory! I think I would stop at nothing to prevent poop from getting all over my walls, so I don't blame you.

TOTALLY worth it! And he does look kinda cute in his onesie (as most of us call them here). If it's any consolation, my SIL still dresses her nearly 3 year-old with a onesie under all his clothes, and he hasn't passed out from the heat yet.

Here's to poop-artless (is that a word? I guess we can make it one now, thanks to Eli!) walls! :)

Well, when that fails (i'd like to be optimistic but we all know there is nothing that will stand between a toddler and his poo.) try duct tape. I prefer silver but it comes in many fun colors now! Wrap the diaper with it several times, but make sure the tape ends in the back, so it can't be unpeeled by naughty little fingers. This works pretty well until they discover the leg openings on their nappies.

We call those onesies here. And I think it's an excellent solution! Much better than taping the diaper to his tummy with duct tape (though that would be a good solution, too, lol).

Ok, seriously Carol I'm LOL! In the US they're called onsies. You could just use that as the shirt and put a pair of shorts on, then it wouldn't really be an extra layer.
I've always hated onsies after a certain age (about the time they start fighting diaper changes), but I know if I had the same issues you're having, (and I probably will) I would do the same thing.

AHHHHHH!!! I just clicked on the "poop art" pictures...oh my gosh! Keep those "vests"(aka "onesies" here in the US) on that boy. He will be just fine.

Agree--totally worth it for poop free walls ;)

That is too funny, because I just ordered Anya size 4T onesies!!

I have to say that I love that you called them vests. Is that what they are called in England??

Good for you on controlling the "creativity" in your house! :)

Oh, he looks so cute in the onesie.

I missed the Poop art post. Wow, did you just want to cry? Or did you think this is going on the blog?

He is very cute! Where did you find them that big? Anything as long as your walls stay poop free!

That is an excellent solution to your little "problem"! :) I'm glad they make those in big sizes, obviously there is a reason for this!

And poop artist or not, he is adorable!

OMGoodness...just went to that post. WOW! Glad that you are now poop free though.

Must. do. this!!! We have had one poop incident, and frankly it was one too many!

He looks adorable!

Hence the reason I still keep the Little Imp in onesies/vests. I would just DIE if I had to deal with that....again! My twins pulled the poop art stunt when they were two, and that almost did me in. We had to repaint! Seriously!

And poop artiste or not, he's pretty stinkin' cute!

So, I bet he didn't know that poopy walls means being hot all summer long, perhaps next time he will think long and hard before 'painting' the walls :)

You know, have you ever thought of *you* painting your walls.....maybe chocolate brown? Just a thought. I have yet to have poo art from Wyatt. I'll have to try the vest/onsie technique when he begins to find his creativity.

I love how you guys talk over there. Vests?!! That is too cute. Almost as cute as that big boy wearing one. You know when he is a teenager you are going to have to delete the "art" photos.

Whatever it takes!!! He looks rather cute in them though! ;)

Thank goodness you found a solution. That is wonderful. I think I will keep my kids in them forever just to avoid that!

WOW! I never knew that a toddler could do such works of art! So glad you have found a solution!
