The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

It actually snowed this morning (about 37 snowflakes to be exact but hey, snow is snow!) and it just seemed far too perfect to not get festivities under way.

Eli about to throw the bauble at me because he could make it 'stick' to the tree.

So excited for Christmas this year!!

My little elves getting the job done.

On a side note the Eli monster is officially out of his cot and in a bed (our house is 100% baby kit free, hallelujah!). He even slept through falling out of bed on night 2 and slept this morning until 8:30 (we can only hope it wasn't concussion related). Joy! Here he is sporting his new haircut courtesy of Joel and the most random hairdressing technique ever.

SO proud of their efforts! (Please note we have never been to either the Hard Rock Cafe or Copenhagen, T Shirt courtesy of Thomas drenching himself whilst washing his hands at school today.)

Obviously I let them have free reign and decorate the tree to their own preference.

Which was of course to cluster all the baubles in one preschooler high area.

So of course I stripped it bare and decorated it beautifully when they were tucked up in bed.

Here's hoping they never notice the difference!

isn't Christmas going to be great this year with the kids being old enough to finally really get into it???

They probably won't notice that you re-decorated the tree! I hope.... ;)

ok, I just noticed the title of this post and the title of my newest post are pretty much the same! LOL! I swear to you that I had already published mine before I went to my "dashboard" and saw that you posted a new post, and I didn't even notice the title of yours till I went back to my dashboard after reading this post!

I guess great minds do think alike! LOL! :D

I prefer the stand back and watch mommy do it approach, but I suppose this way is better... next year.

I'm trying to get my house baby kit free AND baby free.

YOu're too kind to your kids. I don't let mine touch the tree. I decorate it, then they're not allowed to touch. CHristmas is not a time for wonderment and excitement. It's a time for perfectly placed baubles and kids being in their beds by 5.00pm courtesy of the darker evenings.

I shall be expecting the ghost of christmas past to make his visit to me sometime tonight.

Ahhh, snow... I'm so jealous!

I didn't realize until after the crib was gone just how much I loved not having it around. Since we co-sleep, I might not even put it back up for when we have number two!

Your boys look like they had so much fun decorating their tree. Merry Christmas!

Shaking my head in agreement, I so would have done the same thing!

OMG - I cannot get over what a big boy Eli looks like! What a great mom you are, letting them do the decorating. They'll never notice your "subtle" changes!
