The Real Reason I Have Been MIA

Indeed the Siswick Family is expanding this year.

On August 29th we'll be expecting numero tres to make a preferably pain free appearance.

Really we just thought when we make babies as cute as these ones below we'd be doing the entire world a disservice by not procreating further.

You are welcome world.

Rob had been hesitant to have another.

I think our lives have gotten pretty easy with the boys being bigger (well as easy as life can be with 2 preschool aged kids who fight almost constantly anyhow) and the thought of starting from scratch all over again was more than a bit daunting.

But we made our decision and what seemed like 5 minutes later (though it was several months) I was peeing on a stick and seeing our future change right in front of my very own eyes.

Of course now Rob keeps saying deeply terrifying things like,
Maybe a 4th wouldn't be so bad.
Maybe we should have two more close together again.

Easy Tiger! I only just regained my sanity from having the last two close together.

Plus this much I do know if pregnancy number 3 had been pregnancy number 1 Thomas may well have been an only child.

Number 3 has had me encounter the joys of morning sickness for the very first time.

I am now kind of regretting smirking to myself as friends suffered with constant nausea while I was pregnant the first two times. Karma obviously does exist.

This time round I don't know if my friends are more happy that I'm pregnant or that I'm sick with it. That's true friendship eh?

Never have I been so tired in my life. By the time the boys are in bed I am completely done for. Fit for nothing else but sitting on my backside on the sofa trying to muster enough energy to get to bed.

Hence the serious blog neglect since just before Christmas through to right about now. I'm powering through so that blogging isn't another thing to catch up on when I finally have energy once more. The laundry is gonna take me several months to get on top of alone.

This pregnancy I have had serious food aversions so when I actually fancy something I just go ahead and eat it. With the boys I spent the first trimester eating baked potato's, this time round has been a completely different story.

My diet has consisted of such delights as
cheese and onion pie,
strawberry trifle,
cheeseburgers and Cadbury's creme eggs.

Which leads me on with gratitude to the NHS who only ever weigh you at your very first appointment and never ever again. I have a feeling I'm gonna be really appreciative of that this time round with a diet consisting mostly of fat and sugar.
It is good to be British.

Our fish just all passed away on Thursday (fungal issues we think) and Thomas was upset (I guess he'll really miss them for the 8 seconds a week he used to notice them) so to stop him crying we told him and Eli about the baby.

Thomas wants a sister.
Eli wants a brother.

Come August someone is going to be seriously disappointed.

But for us we'll be delighted with either.

You are right...you make darling babies! I am with Rob on this one. Why not go for another right after #3? #3 needs someone close to him in age like Thomas and Eli. I said this to my husband (as we are going for #3 as well) and he thought I was out of my mind. LOL

I am SO excited for you!

But, ummm...a 4th? Tell him you need to pop out baby 3 first!

Feel better :) I dread the day that I may also get morning sickness!

I'm not sure what cheese and onion pie is exactly but the thought of eating it is making me nauseous and I'm not even pregnant! Perhaps you should stick to the cheeseburgers! :)

I hope you will be feeling better soon!

I totally just commented and it's nowhere to be seen.... that's fishy.

But anyway, I'm excited for you and your family. You make darling babies.

And are you really gonna wait till August to find out what you're having?

so sorry about the morning sickness and food aversions! I had them both so terribly with both kids, but with Kingston it was the worst.

maybe all these differences in how you were with the boys and how this one is means that you are having a girl??? that would be amazing! with such cute boys, you are bound to have a gorgeous little girl!

either way though, it will be as cute as anything, I'm sure!

Congrats, again!

RIP fishes, RIP. May you swim eternally in bowls that are fungus free.

I knew it!!! The title of your post gave it away! Congrats! Sorry you aren't feeling well. I SO know about that. I was really sick with both pregnancies. But you definitely lucked out with your first two, huh? "Karma does exist..."- you're so funny. And onion pie??? Really???

Sounds like a girl to me too! I was so sick with Jaynie. Good things she was first cuz there's no way I could have done it with one already. With the boys nothing at all. They say it's the extra estrogen. Jason wants another girl and I shriek at the thought of being so sick and dealing with my two, um, wonderful boys!

Congrats, again! I'm so excited for you.

And, we didn't find out with the first two...but if we have a third, I want to know.

Feel better soon!

Oh, now I do feel bad for wishing you were sick. I am an awful friend. I was just looking at the picture of the stick and noticed a drop on it. Is that your pee love? Nice touch.

Anyways, I am writing this while my mom is sitting here and she is about to pee her pants laughing. She loves you and says congrats! She's happy to adopt you, only you will have to move to Pima or even Central. Hey there will be a temple soon, that counts for something right? World's Best Jerky + a temple = Heaven right?

Now my mom is peeing her pants, gotta go...

I'll take a baby over a fiash anyday! congrats! and I can't wait to see how adorable this one will be. I've often thought about having another if I ever get remarried. will I be too old? probably. *AND* it would have to be surrogate. So - it actually would be a pain-free expericen for me. It would also be the most costliest pregnancy ever.

Sorry, I missed the big announcement. Maybe you should get through the third before doing anything crazy (like having a fourth) silly husband.

Congrats and feel better soon.

What a wonderful "reveal" post!
Sorry about all the morning sickness - however, I'll tell you that everyone I know who had severe morning (all day) sickness (including myself) ended up with a darling little girl! Just sayin' . . .

MMMM Cadbury cream eggs. YUM. They're not on my getting healthy in '09 list. Darn.

So. Excited. For. You!!!

You are SO lucky!! I absolutely dread stepping on that scale each appointment. I deliberately choose the lightest outfit I have, and have contemplated wearing sandals in below zero weather...just to shed a few ounces!!

Fishy died? How sad. Your babies are precious, I am so glad that your fungal fish will be replaced by a precious babe. I can't be a critic on the fourth... but it's still a little early to plan for that!

I am so happy that you are pregnant but sad that you have morning sickness. Maybe a girl??? Now, that would really change up things at home. Time will tell.
Praying for a healthy mama and baby!!

I am sooo happy for you.
And I hope the morning, afternoon and evening sickness will wear off soon.
I stayed sick 24/7 with all three of mine.
So..no sympathy here.;)
