Nutritional Advice from a Three Year Old

Sunday was Rob's birthday and we were at the in laws for Sunday lunch.

I found myself starting a familiar conversation with Thomas.

"If you don't eat all of those carrots you won't get any cake."

Which we were all secretly hoping would be the outcome seeming as my mother in law had whipped up a super yummy looking chocolate fudge cake in honour of the super spoilt birthday boy.

"Carrots aren't for boys!"

And before I could respond,

Very matter of factly.

"Carrots make boys sick!"

Well you have to give him an A for effort, right?

But he did eat all his carrots that day, and managed to do so without getting sick.

If only I had chocolate fudge cake on hand for bribery every day.

Check back later for the result of my giveaway.

I missed the giveaway, but love that it was chocolate. Yummy, real English chocolate.

My son doesn't bribe well with chocolate, give him Skittles and that's a whole other story...

It's always good to have cake around as a bribe. It never fails here. Never!

I applaud his effort.

Anyone willing to try so hard for a chocolate is a friend in my book :)

Glad to hear that he survived being forced to eat Carrots.

I remember refusing oatmeal. That stuff was NOT for girls!!

You gotta give the boy credit for creativity!
Glad he didn't make himself get sick as a backup plan.

I'm pretty sure there is some truth in what your son said. Because really....if he ate like 25 pounds of carrots, he really WOULD get sick. Or maybe if they were old, moldy carrots, right?

Your son is truly a genius.

Oh, and I'll take some cake now too.... :)
